For me, technology is like magic. It has the power to change the world. As a person who always want to catch up with the latest technology and adapt to changes, I think the goal of every engineer is to avoid becoming obsolete in order to continue innovating the world.
My name is JJ Gesulgon. I'm a Full Stack Software Developer based in The Philippines 🇵🇭. I describe myself as a passionate developer who loves coding, open source, and the web platform ❤️.
Aside from my job, I like to create derpy and fun web projects just for fun💻. That helps me learn a ton of new stuff and grow as a developer while having fun. I also enjoy writing technical things ✍️ though I rarely publish them.
In my free time you can find me watching anime 📺, reading manga 📖, playing some random video games 🎮, or just shooting some random photos 📷.
For me, design is "The Magic Wand". Design acts as a bridge between the user and the technology to solve a problem. Everyday, we strive to make a "magic wand" that enables a user to wield the technology with ease.
People are more engaged in stories and they can kind of picture your journey as well with a story. Stories makes everything relatable in a certain way. That makes it memorable to a point that it can travel through generations.
Tech Stack
My usual go to stack is Laravel(PHP) and Vue.js(Javascript) which is the main reason why most of my projects are made using those tools. However, I'm not afraid to touch other frameworks or languages as long as it gets the job done. Recently, I'm starting to do more and more node.js(javascript) projects albeit small ones for me to expand my knowledge and skillset. As a matter of fact, the website you are looking at right now is made using Node.js and React.js 👌
Below are some of the frameworks and languages I've encountered or mostly used through out the course of my career.
Frameworks | Experience | Proficiency |
---|---|---|
Laravel (PHP) | 5 Years | |
Vue.js (Javascript) | 3 Years | |
Node.js (Javascript) | Less than a year | |
React.js (Javascript) | Less than a year | |
Angular(Typescript) | 2 Years |
